Sposi che si baciano al tramonto

Hello, I’m Marianna, a wedding photographer, and today I want to tell you about a special wedding that I had the honor of capturing.

I really wanted to share Fabrizio and Elisa’s special day because it wasn’t a typical Italian wedding.Keep reading to find out why.

Sposi che si tengono per mano

September has become the most beautiful month to get married, and this wedding proves it: a warm but not too hot day, gorgeous sunshine, an equally stunning sunset, and the gentle Umbrian hills as a backdrop.

But why wasn’t it a traditional wedding? Let’s start with the preparations: the couple was getting ready in the same house (+1 untraditional wedding)! They never, ever, ever saw each other. But with just a few steps, I was able to capture Fabrizio’s preparations and then Elisa’s. Their children played a central role, helping their dad throughout the preparations. Elisa, on the other hand, was surrounded by all her wonderful friends.

The ceremony was very beautiful, as Fabrizio and Elisa had a church full of friends and family witnessing their special day. The emotion was palpable throughout the wedding, also thanks to Don Hamaresh, who always knows how to touch hearts with his words.

For the couple’s photos, we decided to stop in the beautiful countryside near the Church of San Felice and also take advantage of the stunning Lake Trasimeno. The lake was a key element: it was actually the theme of the wedding. And you’ll soon find out why.

The celebration continued at Ristorante La Cantina in the center of Castiglione del Lago. Let’s start with the couple’s entrance… Elisa arrived in a wheelbarrow carried by Fabrizio (+2 untraditional wedding)!

Right from the start, I understood the importance of the lake: the centerpieces were small aquariums with fish from Lake Trasimeno (+3 untraditional wedding)! From that moment on, there wasn’t a single pause—between jokes, dancing, and fun, Fabrizio and Elisa celebrated with friends and family. But the most unique feature was… a tattoo artist available for guests to create small live tattoos during the evening (+4 untraditional wedding)!

In conclusion, Fabrizio and Elisa’s wedding in Umbria was truly a dream for a photographer like me. The beauty of the location, the joy of the couple, and the positive energy of the guests made this wedding unforgettable.
